ABOUT BOB

In a year 2000 review , SINGOUT! magazine reviewer John Lupton called Bob "..consistently one of the most intelligent and interesting songwriters in American music.."
From 1990-2004 Bob toured extensively throughout the USA and Europe as the lead singer, songwriter, guitarist and guiding force in the roots-oriented bluegrass group, Front Range, which recorded five albums with Sugar Hill Records.
Bob's first solo album, Wherever I Go , on Hayden's Ferry Records, reached an even wider audience, spending ten weeks in the top 40 of the GAVIN AMERICANA chart during the summer/fall of 1999.
Bob's broad musical background and eclectic taste has
enabled him to blend elements of folk, country, pop,
blues,
bluegrass,
Celtic and rockabilly into his songwriting
and performing style, resulting in a musical program that is refreshingly
varied. With the formation of the BOB
AMOS BAND and the release of his CD, REELS
OF LIFE, Bob has continued to define his sound as, what he likes
to call, folk music with a kick!
